Our Mission is to ensure the continued perfection of Cuba's coastal landscape exhibitions, scientific research, environmental education and service efficiency.

We specialize in the exhibition of marine-coastal landscapes, we are leaders in environmental education and communication, we participate actively in the process of managing natural resources and in the development of a healthy and cultured recreation, compatible with the values ​​of Cuban society.

We have a group specialized in certain unique topics in the country accumulating vast experience in the management of living collections and in the integral management of marine mammals.

We have a group of scientific marine collections of national and regional reference.

We have prepared an underwater modality, with dolphins, unique in the world.

Our history

In the year 1960, from the small group of specialists working in that house of Miramar, national institutions were born that would assume functions in the matter of marine investigations. It was then as a main objective to give life to what would be, and is today, the NATIONAL AQUARIUM OF CUBA, opening its doors on January 23, 1960 to allow the public to see the simple aquariums installed ...
